I haven't been on this board for a very long time, but I enjoy searching the Runyon line as well as mine (RUNION). I've even sent in my DNA sample to the Family Tree DNA to see if there is a connection between my NC/TN RUNION line and the RUNYON line. Results are still not confirmed, but it is another genealogical tool I hope can shed some light on the blank wall I've encountered with my eldest RUNION. The reason I am posting this AM is that I just became a GreatGrandfather March 21, 2005. There appear to be lots of RUNYON folks either in or have connections to Rockingham CO., VA. My GGSon was born at the Harrisburg, VA Hospital, so with all the moving about from NC to TN to KS, my Grandson is serving with the US Navy in WVA, just over the line from Rockingham CO., VA. Just coincidence? Maybe.... Bob Runion

Hi Bob, I was just looking at your post from last year and I am wondering if you found anything interesting from your DNA test. I think we have communicated in the past but I can't tell for sure since your email address doesn't show up here. I have my own separate genealogy website at www.norman.runyon.com for our Brocks Gap family. Norm Runyon
