Notes for AMOS RUNYON:
Amos Runyan of Belfry, Kentucky was a lawyer, legislator, and educator. He spent most of his life in the field of education as a teacher, principal, supervisor and assistant superintendent of Pike County schools.
He was admitted to the bar in 1915 and practiced law for about two years. He was elected a member of the House of Representatives of the Kentucky legislature in 1943 and remained in that position for ten years.
Amos Runyon was the co-author of "Runyon Genealogy" Privately Printed in Brownsville, Texas : 1955.
