Runyon Coat of Arms (Two Examples are above) The identity of Vincent Rongnion's father has never been documented. A Henry Rongnion of Portiers, France has been suggested as the possiable father of Vincent, however, no proof has been found that our Vincent Rongnion was a direct descendant of Henry Rongnion. As such, the Coat-Of-Arms which has been used by some of the Runyon/Runyan families may or may not be correctly used. The Coat-Of-Arms belonging to Henry Rongnion (Other spellings: Roygnon,Regnon) is a blue (Azure) shield, with 3 bees of gold, with the motto Mel Regi. If Vincent is not a direct descendent of Henry, then the use of the Coat-Of-Arms is impropper. Several other Coat-Of-Arms are offered for sale each year to Runyon Family members by different companies, but they are not official Coat-Of-Arms of the Runyon Family, just graphics designed to part you from your money. If you have examples of these Coat-Of-Arms being sold to the Runyon/Runyan family members by these companies, why not post them here? My personal opinion is that there was no official Coat-Of-Arms that was ever registered to the ancestors of Vincent Rongnion.

TEXT The Runyon-COA posted by Frank I received from a cousin, Francis Dellinger, who has a site at MyFamily.com, but for can only be reached by invitation only. The COA posted by John was sent to me from a member of my site. I have no documentation on either of these COA's, however, I posted them as food for thought ! ;D Manager of The Runyon Tree

WARNING WARNING WARNING There are several companies advertising on the web and by US Mail that will attempt to sell you the Runyon Coat of Arms printed on various products. Each company has a different "Coat of Arms" for the Runyon/Runyan family. They are nothing more than a graphic designed to part people who don't know better from their money. As an example see www.houseofnames.com/xq/asp.fc/qx/runyon-family-crest.htmDon't get ripped off by these companies. They are not selling the Runyon Coat of Arms, but it is nice art if you are looking for a conversation piece.
