I have the folowing information on Geertje(Charity) Hegeman(Hagaman).
The only marriage reference I have is 1759 ca New Jersey."Somerset
County Historical Quarterly, " c. 1918, Vo. 8, p. 269, A. Van Doren
Honeyman, ed. "Neshanic church and Its Builders," 1761-1762, "Listing
of Billings and Payments." Isaac Runyon, Church work - Also mason work
around the window frame behind the pulpit. NOTE: Neshanic is about 20
miles west of New Brunswick in Middleesex County,NJ. And the DEED in
1777 in Fredrick County, MD is the last reference in that area that I
have. All else is in Montgomery Co, VA.

Parents: Adriaen & Mary Hageman of Frederick County, MD. Father's Will
dated Dec. 02, 1773, Will Book A1. Will of Adriaen Hagaman: Property &
items left to Geertie & grandsons, John Runnion & Adrian Runnion. Will
proved on Feb 14, 1774. Surname at end of Will is spelled: HEGEMAN.
SURNAME VARIATION; HEGEMAN/HAGAMAN/HAGEMAN/HEGGEMAN
DEED: June 27, 1777 (Recorded July 01, 1777), PAGES 121-123 16 1/2 ACRES
of Land, on Great Pike Creek, Frederick County, Maryland. Purchased by
Mary Heggeman and Isaac Runyon from John Logsdon, part of a tract called
Logsdon Admendment for sum of fifteen shillings sterling.
Mary Heggemen was named in Will of her father, Adrian Hageman of
Somerset County, NJ dated August 08, 1754. His children are named as:
Hendrick, John, Adrian, Joseph, Simon, Jocobus, & Benajamin. Daughters
are: Geertje who married John Manely; and Mary who married Adrian
Hegeman & Catherine who married Samuel Waldron. Wil proved on July 27,
1762. (Information from Documents of Colonial History of the State of
New Jersey, Vol XXXIII, Edited by: A. Van Doren Honeyman, c. 1928. p.
169.
COMMENT: Mary Heggeman's mother was also named Mary. Her father was
Adrian Hageman, her brother was Adrian Hageman, and she married an
Adrian Hageman. Her sister was Geertje Hageman & she named her daughter
Geertje Hageman. So, needless to say.. tracing this family is extremely
difficult.
ANCESTRY: Page 135, Early Settlers of Kings County, Long Island, NY, by
Teunis G. Bergen. c. 1881.
"Adriaen, the common ancestor of the family, emigrated about 1650 or
'51 from Amsterdam (Holland, teh Netherlands); :Catherine....joined the
R.D. Ch of NY..." (The R.D. Ch is The Reformed Dutch Church of New
York.) His children were: "Joseph, Hendricks, Jocobus, Abraham, Denyse,
Isaac, Benjamin, Elizabeth (who married Apl. 1st, 1784 Tobias Ten Eyck)
and John. Signed his name "Adrian Hegeman".
COMMENTS: Adriaen & Catherine Hegeman were the parents of nine
children. Several of the sons named their sons "Adriaen" and then these
sons in turn passed the name to their sons. Several Hegeman families
purchased land & moved to Somerset County, NJ and then several of the
decendants of these sons moved to the waters of the Raritan.
