In searching for information on James Runyon and Andrew Runyon I have come across the following obituaries. I thought they might be of assistance to someone out there. I found them all in the Herald Dispatch newspaper out of Huntington, WV.

AUGUSTA BELLE VARNEY RUNYON (Dec 15, 2003), 99, of Verner, formerly of Gilbert, widow of Jesse Runyon, died Friday in Logan Regional Medical Center. She was a schoolteacher. Funeral was held Sunday at Mounts Funeral Home, Gilbert.
NELLIE C. RUNYON (Aug 11, 2002), 92, of Pinsonfork, widow of Ace Runyon, died Friday in Williamson Memorial Hospital, Williamson, W.Va. She was a homemaker. Funeral 11 a.m. Monday at Rogers Funeral Home, Belfry, KY; burial in Don Runyon Cemetery, Pinsonfork.
PRICEY JANE RUNYON VARNEY (Mar 14, 2002), 87, of hardy, widow of Ernest Varney, died Tuesday in Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was a homemaker. Survivors include two sons, James Lee Varney of Dayton, Ohio, and Robert Carlos Varney of Niles, Mich.; and three daughters, Phyllis Marie Smith of Hardy, Ernestine Oaks of Dayton and Minnie Sue Fields of Fowlerville, Mich. Funeral 1 p.m. Saturday at Rogers Funeral Home, Belfry; burial in Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy.
MARINA B. "PEGGY" RUNYON (Nov 27, 2001), 81, of Huntington, widow of Norman G. "Tom" Runyon, died Sunday in Mariner Health of Huntington. She was a retired cook from the Radisson Hotel. Survivors include one daughter, Norma Jean Frazier of Huntington; five sons, Michael Runyon, Rick Runyon and Tommy Runyon, all of Huntington, Steve Runyon of Chesapeake, Ohio and Larry Chapman of Culloden; two sisters, Freda Gibson of Hurricane and Reba Forth of Milton; and one brother, Woodrow Chapman of Milton. Funeral 2 p.m. Wednesday at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington; burial in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville.
NORMAN G. "TOM" RUNYON (Sep 25, 2001), 74, of Huntington, husband of Marina "Peggy" Chapman Runyon, died Monday in Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was retired from S.S. Logan Packing Co. and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Also surviving are a daughter, Norma Jean Frazier of Huntington; four sons, Michael, Rick and Tommy Runyon, all of Huntington, and Steve Runyon of Chesapeake, Ohio; and a sister, Virginia Redman of Alabama. Funeral 2 p.m. Wednesday at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington; burial in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville.

Survivors include one son, Clarence Runyon of Hazard; four daughters, Lanita Smith of Rockford, IL, and Mavella Ray, Daphne Humphries and Peggy Parker, all of Pikeville; three brothers, Tom Clark of Deltona, FL, Victor Clark and Billie Clark, both of Jamestown; and two sisters, Lola Hamilton of Glade Springs, WV, and Opal Akers of Lexington. Funeral 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Mayflower Unity Baptist Church; burial in Runyon family cemetery, Johns Creek. J.W. Call Funeral Home, Pikeville, is in charge of arrangements.
