Hello,
I am new to this forum. I have obtained copies of original documents proving my ancestry back to Cornelius Anderson (whose will was proved 19 Aug 1768 and who lived in Hopewell, NJ) and his wife Catherine.
Numerous websites claim that Catherine was the daughter of Thomas Runyon and Martha Dunn.
So far I have been unable to verify that Cornelius Anderson's wife, Catherine, was a Runyon, or that she was the daughter of Thomas Runyon.
I have also found nothing to prove that Thomas Runyon's wife Martha was named Dunn, or that she was the daughter of Hugh Dunn.
Since these relationships are confidently stated everywhere, I feel I must be overlooking something obvious.
Can anyone explain to me how these relationships are known and what are the sources that prove them, or if no concrete proofs exist, what the circumstantial evidence is?
Thank you,
MoberlyDrake
