Cannot get line straight, but have DNA matches!

Please help me!!! I have DNA matches to the Runyon/Custer/Hiner lines, but I am not clear on the line of descent given all of the repeated given names.

Here goes:

I descend from Julia Ann (Runnion) Hiner who was the daughter of John and Elizabeth Runnion. She was born November of 1836 in Ohio.

My FTDNA and 23andme matches are to Isaac Runyan (Rulenor FitzRandolph) and to a sibling of Catherine (Custer) Runyan, wife of William Runyan.

I thought Isaac and John were brothers, but I seem to have that confused...
