My name is Carol Slavens and I have several ancestors that were in the Revolutionary War. However, when I attempted to document a side of the family for DAR membership, the family I was going through had an ancestor with no official documents available. The Ohio state genealogists along with the DAR in Washington, DC began helping me and recently sent me an email with the ancestor Isaac Runyon. This was a surpirse as I had never heard of him! They sent me the lineage sheet they were sending in and I am descended through Isaac's daughter, Rebecca. The surnames on the sheet are: Runyon, Corder, Bolls, Massey (I did know this name on down), Walke, and my married name, Slavens. I suppose a lot of this was lost in time, due to the connection through daughters. I would appreciate any family knowledge through this line of the Runyons! Thanks, Carol Slavens
