Who are these Runyons?
Hi Lacinda,
Thank you very much for writing.
Unfortunately, I do not have this Jane Runyon in my files - nor do I have anyone named Geer or Walburn. I do have family who moved to the 2 IL counties you mention but they moved there from Virginia.
I am familiar with the John W. Runyon, etc that you mention but they are not my branch of the clan. I even purchased a copy of the will you mention because my great-grandfather was John W. Runyon (born in Champaign Co.) and his father was John Runyon, III. However, the people in the will turned out not to be my people. I found out, the hard way, that there was a group of Runyons who lived, primarily, in Rush & Union Townships, Champaign Co. while my family lived exclusively in Mad River Township.
I am referring you to Tom Runyan & Ira Runyan. I am pretty sure that they have information on your people.
Happy hunting!
Norman
