Message body I've "rescued" an old photograph of Hattie RUNYON which was taken in 1887 at the Fredricks Studio in New York City, NY. Hattie appears to be in her teens at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding Hattie and her family:
Harriet "Hattie" Elizabeth RUNYON was b. 12 Jan 1872 in Piscataway Township, Middlesex Co. NJ to parents Albert Lathrop RUNYON (b. 5 Jan 1836 in Piscataway, NJ-d. 26 Aug 1908 in Morristown, NJ) and Rachel A. STELLE (b. 14 Jul 1835 in New Jersey-1920). Hattie was one of 6 children born to this couple including, Fred Fremont; William Stelle; Robert Lincoln; George; George Grant; and Hattie RUNYON all born between 1856 and 1872. Hattie married Christopher Henry SNYDER (1866-1937) and together they had 4 children including, Henry Runyon; William Cowperthwaite; Helen Jean; and John Robert SNYDER all born between 1900 and 1909.
Hattie died in Berkeley, CA on 3 May 1954. Her daughter Helen married into the WOOD Family.
I am hoping to locate someone from Hattie's family so that the photograph can be returned to their care. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me.
Thanks,
Shelley
