I am searcing for the parents of this James Runion. From the marriage license of my great grandparents, I know the parents of Lucy Robinson were Samuel Robinson and Cythia Runion. According to "Giles County, Virginia History - Families" on page 125, 1871 Oct. 1871, Samuel C. Robinson m. Cynthia M. Runion; Rev, John Williams; m. at home of James T. Runion at White Gate; Samuel, 21, single, b. & l. Pulaski Co., farmer, son of Isaac & Annie Robinson; Cynthia, 16, single, b. & l. Giles, dau. James & Elizabeth Runion. The book also states Elizabeth is the second wife of James Runion, the first having been Lucinda Smith. I have seen several online sources that state James was the son of "Isaac and C. Runion". I can so far find no Isaac. I know it cannot be Isaac and Charity Runion, since James was born in 1818 and Isaac and Charity were over 70 years old. It appears Isaac Jr. has a family not including this James. James' parents could be the next generation, or someone completely different. Or the sources I have seen online are off base. Any ideas?

My Great x 2 grandfather was James Runyan from Cleveland Co. NC. His father was Jeremiah Runyan who moved here with his wife Sarah from Pulaski Co. Va. Is this the one you are looking for?
