Is anyone researching Conrad Runnion/Runyen?
Rev. War pension file for one Conrad Runnion. File information approximates a date of birth 1752. The pension file documents death of Conrad Runnion on 21 Jan. 1835 with last residence as Greene Co., PA. Conrad Runnion, also spelled Runyen in 1820 Federal Census, Greene Co., PA. Greene Co., PA Court- records the death of Conrad Runyon 21 Jan. 1835 (court record lists informant as Levi Shaw).
I have also seen a database on Rootsweb (One Name Study/Runyon- contact person is Millard Thompson, stouteagle@worldnet.att.net) The database lists a Benjamin Runyon with same same date and place of death as Conrad. Does anyone know the info. source for Benjamin? Are Benjamin and Conrad the same person? One might at least suspect some relationship between these two men.
Descendants of Conrad Runnion may have went to Monroe, Williams and Van Wert counties in Ohio. They may also have used the surname spellings Runnion, Runyon, Runyan, and Runyen.
