I am so baffled. Maybe I'm not looking at this right? The 1850 Logan County, VA Census (taken on 18 Sep 1850, shows on page 159B, Family #564,) an ELIZABETH PUCKETT, age 18, born in VA, in the household of her father (? no actual relationships are given), John Puckett, age 63, Jane Puckett, age 46, Matilda Puckett, age 14, and ? Jacob ? Puckett, age ?7?. The same Census has on page 157B, Family #539 James M. Runyon, age 27,(I am assuming he is the head of the household as he is listed first) Polly Runyon, age 25, Anderson Runyon, age 2, Rebecca Runyon, age 7/12, ANDREW RUNYON, age 26, farmer, and Benjamin White, age 22, farmer. - Now, I think the Andrew Runyon I am searching for was born about 1820 - the Andrew Runyon in this Census would have been born about 1824 - not that far off, could be the right one - The Elizabeth Puckett I have been searching for, I think, was born about 1811-this Elizabeth Puckett would have been born about 1832 - quite a difference. James Runyon is shown as being 27 and Andrew as being 26 so there is no way James is this Andrew's father, so one could assume they were brothers?? I think this James is probably the son of Adam and Elizabeth Davis but I can't find where Adam and Elizabeth had a son named Andrew so that would knock out the brother theory!!
