My ancestry is Tunison; I am looking for records on Runyon who is my g.g. grandfather, his son is Ira C. Tunison. No record until 1850/60/70/80 census on Runyon who served in Civil War. A Rebecca Runyon , daughter of George Runyon and Sarah Brokaw, was suggested for research as she married Cornelius Tunison 1819. Her parents buried in McNeil's Cemetery, Ovid, Seneca Cty NY. What records we have show he was born in NY, lived in New Jersey and moved to Iowa in 1855 with Ira. Also, a Mary Runyon age 28 & Willand Runyon (age 5, born in Virginia) show on 1870 census with Tunis Tunison in NJ- do not know how/why they came together. DOB about 1817, died 1887. Possibly an adopted Runyon? Sure hope someone has records 1800-1850 to help solve our mystery. Thanks.

Hello, I have looked at your post and I have a few answers for you. Mary Runyon is the daughter of Tunis Tunison and that is why she is living with him. Mary married a Runyon.
Please contact me at yoyo@cowboysnightclub.com if you'd like more information.
My quesiton to you is... In your post you speak of a Cornelius Tunison (1819), do you know who his father or mother is. If you do, I might be able to help you a little more.
