Looking for parents of Charles David Runyon

Very frustrating, my great-grandfather's name was Charles David Runyon, my grandfather is Charles David Runyon Jr. and my father is Charles David Runyon III. My grandfather and father were born in Texas. My great-grandfather I don't know.

The only stories that float around the family is that my great-grandfather's family moved to Texas from Missouri. I cannot find a record of birth for him anywhere with that DOB. I do not know his parents names or his sister's names (he had 2 or 3 sisters). The story is his parents died on the trip from Missouri and his sisters raised him. If anyone can fill in the blanks here, I would truly appreciate it. It's frustrating not knowing where your family came from....
